When You Model, You LET GO of Everything

“I want to model”…

But…. are you ready for criticism? If you can’t handle that, you are in the wrong place and you should stop reading this blog. Seriously.

Here’s the thing: You HAVE to have the CONFIDENCE to START.

“How do I do that?”

First off, Clear your head. Clear of all of the negative thoughts that you’re thinking. Clear of all of the “What if they talk about me” thoughts. You cannot have success if you cannot LET go of those thoughts. So many women want to model but don’t know what comes with it. You have to SACRIFICE.

Fuck the gossip. Fuck what people say. Fuck the people CLOSEST to you that have something negative to say.

You want to do implied nude, nude, or even runway? You HAVE got to let all of that go.

Okay. Now that I’ve got your “Omg, did she really just say that” attention. Yes, I did say that.

You’re ready. You’ve gotten this far in this blog. You’re READY to move foward.

I am NO runway model. I just don’t like heels. I couldn’t even last being a stripper. I’m just being honest. Like me, you have to find what you like. You can sit here and look at all of these photoshoots on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and so forth. That’s a really good start.

What are you doing while looking at those photos though? Are you wishing you were that size? Wished you had breasts and an ass like that? NO. NO. And NOOOO. You lost. Already. In order to be a model, you have to stop doing that. You have to sacrifice those thoughts too.

Start transitioning your thoughts to: “I can do that”and “I may not look like her but I’m beautiful too”.Why? Because you can and you ARE beautiful. When I look at a model posing in heels, I say: “That’s nothing. I got this”. I know I can do it. I may not like it… but I do it. I had SACRIFICE the fact that I didn’t like heels to get further in my career.

It may not be as good as hers but that ‘s why I practice. Actually, I’m lying. I don’t practice. I don’t expect my modeling career to revolve around heels. I’m not runway. I highly advise though that if you plan on doing runway, START walking.

Always remember, LET GO of all that’s keeping you from modeling; from ONE photoshoot. One photoshoot will take you to a lot of places.
